Illinois International Pageants, LLC reserves the right to have additional requirements for competing at the Illinois State Pageants at the sole discretion of the director.
Since first competing in the International system in 2000, Beverly has been involved with the pageant and the associated activities. Along with becoming Mrs. Illinois International 2005, she has continued her support within the International System as a judge, a production coordination and assisting at the Mrs., Miss and Miss Teen International Pageants.
In 2003, Beverly was awarded the “Supermodel with Style Award”, which is an award judged on modeling ability, stage presence and the contestant’s overall performance. As the recipient of this award Beverly received a full page, color Showcase in the “Supermodels Unlimited” Magazine.
Beverly is employed by Abbott in Lake County, Illinois, where she is a Program Manager. In addition, Beverly is a Mentor and Certified Trainer, she has facilitated courses on: Preparing others to Succeed, Setting Expectations and Achieving Your Goals. She loves to speak out to children about the importance of their education, the value it holds for their future and the “choices they will be faced with.
She and her husband Daniel have been married since 1988 and reside in Lake County, Illinois with their 2 children. Favorite things outside of pageantry are family vacations, volleyball, bowling, working-out, and of course shopping.
In April 2002, Donna competed for and won the title of Mrs. Illinois International. She vied for the title of Mrs. International that August and placed 4th runner up. Since then, she has continued to support the International system through judging various pageants and assisting with the Illinois and International pageants. Her platform was promoting mentor programs with an emphasis on discovering opportunities and planning paths to higher education for children, one at a time.
Donna is a graduate of Purdue University. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in the Professional Pilot Program of Aviation Technology in May 1986. She has been employed by United Airlines since April 1989. She has been a Captain since January 2000. Although currently flying the Airbus 320, she has also received type ratings on the Boeing 737, 757 and 767.
Being a friend and mentor to children and young adults has always been a passion for Donna. For over twenty years she has been a guest lecturer and career day speaker within her community and at various colleges and universities, including Purdue. Her professional activities include the Ninety-nines and the International Society of Women Airline Pilots. She is a Visitation Coordinator for Pilots for Kids and was a volunteer for her local hospice for three years. Donna and her husband are active members of the Adler Planetarium, supporting their education and outreach programs. Donna was named to the Women's Board of the Adler in 2008.
Donna has been a vocal soloist since she was five years old and received her greatest inspiration from the late Karen Carpenter. She performed with her high school choir and elite Madrigal singers. At Purdue, she was a member of the Purduettes, a group of lady vocalists that perform at various alumni and promotional events. Since then, she has mainly dedicated her musical abilities to her church and community.
Recently, she received her 2nd degree Brown Belt in Shotokan Karate. She and her husband, David, have been married since 1990 and reside in Wheaton, Illinois with their two children.
